The front-end styling of the new BMW 4 Series may polarise opinion but only among those who haven’t driven one. The interior appointment oozes quality, while a range of silky engines offers excellent efficiency for the business sector and wild-child performance for enthusiasts. Throw in a sweetly judged ride and handling balance, alongside excellent refinement, and the BMW 4 Series is clearly a leader in its class.

Convertibles 4 series have suspect rear window sealing issues which can lead to collection of rainwater and subsequent swishing noises as water cant easily escape due to intended water escape route being blocked by n underneath panel. Needs DIY to drain (or £80-100 to get done at a dealer), Non convertibles are excellent - although rather uninspiring interiors and dashes compared to class rivals. Well screwed together though and these cars stick to the road superbly even when pushed.

Series 4 28i Coupe... Had a few BMW cars this coupe has a vibrant engine with good acceleration and pickup. Great lines and a handsome flonger than l thought but good boot While two door accessibility is good. Its a 4 seater and seats are comfortable with good setting controls. Leather upholstery sets off the dignified interior. Class act.
